The mighty Mississippi, Nature’s Super Highway, also has an air of tranquility. I spent my Saturday afternoon wandering a sandbar just down from the Plattin Rock Boat Club. I saw commercial vessels, pleasure crafts, and a landscape that evoked a harsh beauty. It felt like I was transported to another place rather than the middle of the Mississippi River.
